Are those Korean Cushions REALLY suit for you? －－Drugstore Korean Cushion Review

Many of my Korean friends uses cushion on their daily makeup because its easy to apply and time saving. Since IOPE created the BB air cushion, Korean girls have all started using it and almost every Korean cosmetics brand has launched their own air cushion. In this case, it's really hard to discuss which brand works best. Because basically products that in well known brands can not be too bad, therefore your guys can choose the most suitable products based on different needs and skin types. I brought 46 cushions in following years and I am going to tell your guys my feeling of using some of these products.


The Cushion Collection

Before we start, I would like to mention some points:


⭐ Skin type: Dry skin and sometime oily in T zone. Therefore, I only can give some tips to those very dry and dry skin combine my subjective using experiences. If you are other skin type PLEASE also looking for other recommendations to make your final decision.

⭐ Because I am really into GLOSS FINISH of base makeup. Therefore, most of my recommendations are glossy. But I also have some matte finish cushion in my favourite list.

Summary of Cushion Types:


⭐ Aqua finish cushion -- It is most lightweight type of cushions and most luminous.  However, this type of cushion also have lightest coverage and are more like tinted moisturiser, such as VANT and the N series of IOPE cushion foundation.

⭐ Porcelain finish cushion -- As shiny as aqua finish, but have more coverage and more brighten than Aqua finish cushion, such as W. ab Honey Air Cushion and C series of IOPE cushion foundation.

⭐ Cream finish cushion -- Meaning that the skin finish is more creamy and smooth as cream. The texture of this type of cushion foundation is a bit thicker than aqua base makeup and have medium to high coverage. E.g. MISSHA and W-snow CC Cushion.

⭐ Pearl finish cushion -- It  contains pearl burnish when finishing base makeup. It is more moisture and oily than other cushion and this type of products does not suit for the oily skin. E.g. Dr.Althea and Whoo.

⭐ Matte finish cushion -- Really suit for oily skin. E.g. VIDIVIC.

Brands that recommend for students:


If you are a students and does not want to pay too much at makeup products. These brands such as Etude House, Innisfree, Missha, Aritaum and Peripera are very suit for you. The price level of these products usually around 10 pounds. These products usually suit for natural makeup.

Very light coverage and If you apply two layers in face it might become a little dry and does not very fit to face. Therefore, it is more suitable for using in summer.

Just like tinted moisturisers, very light coverage. This products give people a healthy skin looking and look like do not wear any makeup.

Some Tips for You When You Choose Cushions


 ⭐ Some cushion brands might have letters N and C before their shades which means Natural and Coverage.

 ⭐ Sometimes the larger shade number does not mean that the darker colour. For example, shade colours 19 and 21 are similar, 19 is more based on yellow tone while 21 is more like pink tone.

 If you would like to spend more money to buy Korean cushion, you might like these brand: Amore Pacific, Whoo.
