SUMMARY

I have several objectives when I created Korean beauty blog.

  • Let people who is not familiar with Korean beauty get touch on it
  • Let them understand characteristics of Korean beauty and the major differentiation between Korean beauty and Europe beauty products.
  • Introduction cheap and good quality beauty products to students and young people.
To sum up, I almost achieved these objectives. I chose several topic about skincare and makeup products that can be represented Korean beauty including cushion, mask and lip tint to highlight the main characteristic of Korean beauty are having delicate packaging and giving people natural feeling. The challenge that I faced was it is a little hard to find some photos I took before about my weekly topic and it is also difficult for me to remember the using experiences about some products. Then I decide to search and reference some makeup articles and combine with my experiences to finish my blogs.

I used several methods to enhance and promote my blog:

  • I decided my target audience in my first post, which is young people. The main characters of young people are like to get touch with new things and can not afford products that are too expensive. Therefore, the most products I recommended are at middle or below middle level price. The characteristic of these products are just came out or having beautiful package. I think these products will meet young peoples interests to purchase them.
  • I tried to use entertaining title and content in every posts to attract people. I also used a range of pictures and several video to recommend products in a comprehensive way since these two tools are the most straight way to have a promotion.
  • I try my best to reply comments to give audiences the most clear and useful answer.

  • I used social campaign to post my blog links in social media such as Twitter to promote the blog. The point I should improve is I only posted those link in one social media, I will also do in other social media such as Instagram, Facebook and even email advertising. The data shows more than a half of people clicked links I posted on Twitter to see my blog articles, which states the important of using social media in promotion.

  • I added some detailed stuffs in my blog articles, including purchase links and my skin type mention to give audiences more choice and help audience to make a rational decisions when they read my recommendations.
Overall, I received 742 page views in the whole project period and the article has highest page views is the article about Korean cream products.
